Barcelona striker Samuel Eto'o criticized teammate Eidur Gudjohnsen for his lack of concentration in front of goal, Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Thursday. "Gudjohnsen needs to readapt to the role of centre forward," Eto'o told the Italian newspaper. Barcelona had no choice but to field the Icelandic international as a regular starter after Eto'o was ruled out of action until the New Year with a knee injury. Gudjohnsen shares responsibility for Barcelona's 2-0 defeat to arch-rivals Real Madrid in the Primera Liga after missing easy chances. "Did you see the chance he missed at the Bernabeu? If he had scored that goal Barca would have won 4-2," Cameroonian striker Eto'o said. "Gudy was looking at (Lionel) Messi instead of looking at the goal as every centre forward always should." Despite netting in the Catalans' 2-2 draw with his former club Chelsea in the UEFA Champions League, Gudjohnsen is yet to provide the perfect replacement for Eto'o, whose pace and power proved decisive for Barcelona in crucial meetings.
