England captain David Beckham dished out two assists to help his country register a 3-1 friendly victory over Hungary on Tuesday. The World Cup warm-up game witnessed the first cap for teenage striker Theo Walcott, who became England's youngest international player at the age of 17 years and 75 days. Sven-Goran Eriksson started with a bizarre line-up, with Jamie Carragher playing in the defending midfielder role and Steven Gerrard deployed as a delayed forward. Frank Lampard failed to put England in front late in the first-half when his low penalty-kick was parried by the Hungarian goalkeeper. Gerrard opened the score line in the 47th minute when he headed an inch-perfect cross from Beckham into the bottom corner of the visitors' net. Shortly after, Beckham swung another neat cross but this time for defender John Terry to steer a header past the advancing keeper. Pal Dardai closed the gap in 55th minute when he curled a long-range shot into the top corner. Substitute Peter Crouch sealed the victory seven minutes from time when he drilled a low shot into the far angle from the edge of the area.
