Mortada Mansour, le président du club de Zamalek, a annoncé qu'il est contre la suspension des joueurs car il l'a voit comme une sanction pour le club plutôt que le joueur. Mansour a annoncé cette décision à Hamada Emam afin qu'il l'a transmette au directeur technique Manuel Cajuda pour remettre le quatour, Ibrahim Saïd, Wael Qabani, Walid Abdel Latif et Sameh Youssef aux entraînements de l'équipe A. Cette décision a été prise après que Saïd est arrivée à l'entraînement mais que Cajuda ait refusé qu'il joigne le groupe. Le président du club a révélé qu'il y'aura de lourdes sanctions financières imposées aux joueurs et pas des suspensions.
