Manchester United are reportedly interested in signing Marseille midfielder Franck Ribery and Monaco defender Patrice Evra in the winter transfer window. Ribery confirmed the reports on Sunday and revealed that he is also demanded in White Heart Lane. "My agent has spoken to United's directors and Spurs have contacted Marseille," the 22-year-old told The News of the World. On the other hand, Evra's agent Frederico Pastorello said the 24-year-old received offer from Old Trafford and from Inter Milan. "United and Inter are extremely interested in landing Patrice in the transfer window," Pastorello was quoted as saying by BBC Sport. United's boss Alex Ferguson is keen to replenish his squad in January after a so far disappointing campaign this season. The Red Devils were eliminated from the group stage of the UEFA Champions League and are currently trailing Premiership leaders Chelsea by 11 points.
