Inter Milan coonsider making a bid for Villarreal midfielder Juan Roman Riquelme to replace Juan Sebastian Veron, Italian daily Gazzetta dello Sport reported on Tuesday. "We target Riquelme, not Ronaldo as recent speculation claimed," Inter owner Massimo Moratti said. Inter are seeking to sign a replacement for Veron who said recently that he will return to Argentina at the end of the season. Villarreal would be asking for a high price for their Argentinaian star as his contract runs out in 2009. The 27-year-old is reportedly looking for a new challenge in the Serie A with the 'Nerrazzuri' alongside compatriot Esteban Cambiasso. Riquelme played 18 matches and scored eight goals in all competitions this season.
