CAIRO - The politbureau of Egypt's formerly ruling National Democratic Party Thursday submitted its resignation to Mohamed Ragab, the secretary general of the party, saying they wanted to give a space for a 'radical change'. "Mohamed Abdellah, Mohamed Kamal, Maged el-Sherbini and Mohamed Heiba resigned from the NDP," the official Middle East News Agency (MENA) reported, quoting a statement by the bureau, appointed by Mubarak on February 5 amid massive protests. The statement added that the party was in need of radical change to keep up with the revolution, which toppled its chief. Political activists and lawyers have filed lawsuits for the NDP to be dissolved saying it was the main reason for corrupting political life in Egypt.
