CAIRO - Police stepped up security around the nation's churches and Suez Canal facilities in Ismailia and Port Said, following the bomb attack on a church in Alexandria, which claimed 21 lives on Saturday. The police vowed tight protection for the churches and vital sites, including the international waterway, as well as airports and harbours, following the blast that targeted Al-Qiddissein (The Two Saints) Church in Alexandria. Tight cordons were set up outside the churches, security sources said, adding that police units were already deployed throughout the streets surrounding them. The police will undertake unprecedented security to safeguard nation's key facilities after the attack, they added.
