Promoted content: As usual, Mondelez Egypt Foods encouraged its employees to volunteer by giving away time from their official working hours to help the Egyptian Food Bank wrap and pack Ramadan ration cartons to be distributed to the less privileged families during the Holy Month of Ramadan. The employees packed more than 700 cartons during the day in a competitive atmosphere in which the volunteers were divided into teams, and competed against each other on the packing process to announce the winner team which packed the largest number of cartons. By this voluntary job, Mondelez Egypt aims to establish the values of volunteerism among its employees and demonstrate the value of community service as an important part for the company's priorities by enabling them to apply this activity during their official business hours. In view of that, Amira Farag, Mondelez Egypt Corporate and Government Affairs Manager declared: "Mondelez' participation comes as part of its social responsibility endeavors towards different social groups, which inspired by our"Impact for Growth" strategy, aiming to develop the communities where we live and operate" Amira Added: "Mondelez believes in the importance of the private sector's interactive role within the Egyptian society and we are always keen to create voluntary job opportunities for our employees. As donating by giving money is necessary and crucial, while donating time and effort has greater and better impact as nowadays it became a cornerstone for any societies to thrive and boom. This is a concept that we have adopted for a long time and we strive to spread it along with the entire initiatives and the CSR programs held by our company" Also Mondelez Egypt encourages its employees to volunteer in other charity initiatives, such as sharing daily activities and handicrafts projects with members of the Right to Live Association caring for autistic patients within the upcoming feast "Eid AL-Fetr", as well as donating time for seminars to increase marketing and sales awareness of farmers and employees of the agricultural associations under the umbrella of "Wheat of Our Children" initiative, as well as organizing workshops on the basics of healthy nutrition programmes dedicated to farmers' wives under the same initiative.
