CAIRO, May 3, 2018 (MENA) - Prime Minister Sherif Ismail on Thursday followed up the repercussions of Aswan's sugar factory fire that erupted Wednesday across 30 feddans of sugarcane mulch bales in Kom Ombo town. The premier is receiving reports on the latest developments and efforts of Aswan and Armed Forces firefighting teams to contain the blaze that erupted last night, a statement issued by the cabinet media centre said. Meanwhile, Armed Forces firefighting planes continued to back civil protection efforts to put out the fire and make sure it would not reignite, the statement added. While firefighting teams continue cooling operations, civil protection forces will be carrying out an assessment of the situation throughout the day. Kom Ombo 's blaze left a number of laborers and firefighters injured.
