CAIRO: Ahly tactician Hossam Al-Badri says he will make some changes to his team's regular starting line-up and formation, in the wake of the Red Devils 1-0 loss at Esperance in the CAF Champions League semi finals. Sunday's loss saw Ahly wave goodbye to the continental competition as the Tunisian side reach the final, which once again cast doubt over Al-Badri's future at the Cairo club helm. But the 50-year-old was quick to promise that he's seeking to lead a turnaround in the six-time African champions fortunes. "The next phase will witness big changes to the formation and the starting eleven," former Ahly assistant coach Hossam Al-Badri said. "I only depended on the players who were on the African roster but now I will give the chance to others to prove their worth, such as Amir Sayoud and Abdul-Hamid Shabana. "Newcomers will join us in the January transfer widow too. Our objective now is to retain the Egyptian Premier League title." For quite a while Ahly have been slated for a poor run of form and a host of lackluster performances on all fronts, with Al-Badri having the lion's share of criticism.
