KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia has officially launched a tourism campaign in Jordan aimed at boosting the Southeast Asian country as a destination for Jordanians. It is part of Tourism Malaysia's “Malaysia Truly Asia” campaign that has gone global. The move to boost efforts in Jordan will see a brochure distributed to local travel agents in the country and will run through the end of next year, a statement from Tourism Malaysia said. “Tourism Malaysia has appointed ULead PR & Marketing to design, publish and market the brochure in Jordan, and specifically tailor it for the Jordanian market. The campaign will continue to be promoted in the Kingdom over a 9-month period which will continue until 2013,” the statement continued. Malaysia is hopeful that the new campaign will increase the number of Jordanian tourists to the country and believes that the country can be a top destination for the Middle East travelers. “The brochure contains an abundance of information on five of Malaysia's most popular cities which include Kuala Lumpur, the capital city; as well as Langkawi; Penang; Pahang and Perak and offers a range of packages available to Jordanians,” it added.
