KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysia Deputy Finance Minister Awang Adek Hussin said on Sunday that his country is ready and willing to help assist other Muslim nations to implement an Islamic banking system. He said Malaysia's “success in introducing the Islamic financial system had been recognized by other Muslims countries,” including those in the Middle East. “Many Muslim countries want to learn from us on how to implement the Islamic banking system,” he told reporters in Kuala Lumpur. Hussin made the comments in response to a statement by the Republic of Guinea President Alpha Conde, who was reportedly impressed with Malaysia and regarded the country as an exemplary Muslim nation.
