DUBAI: Dubai police on Friday reported to have arrested members of a human trafficking ring that reportedly used women as sex workers in the United Arab Emirates. The Dubai Police Criminal investigation Department reportedly ended a European criminal gang known for human trafficking in the country, arresting its members. Brigadier General Khalil Ibrahim Al Mansouri Director of Dubai Police Criminal Investigation Department told reporters in the country that the criminal “gang” includes four European women who alternate roles in attracting girls from Europe to work in night clubs for high salaries, a chauffeur, and accommodation in five-star hotels. Gulf News reported that police were “also able to rescue a European victim who came to Dubai to work as a dancer and was soon sold by one European lady who works in human trafficking to another at Dubai airport.” Local media reported that the second women's job was to buy other women and send them to brothels in the city, while another woman detained the new girls, watched them, and set up meetings with men for her to be a paid sex worker.
