Jurgen Klinsmann, manager of the US Men's National Team, released his list of twenty-two players for friendlies against France and Slovenia later this month. This list contains the strongest players the US has to offer including national team stalwarts Landon Donovan, Clint Dempsey, Tim Howard, and captain Carlos Bocanegra. This marks the first time that Donovan and Dempsey will feature together under Klinsmann. Donovan missed earlier friendlies in October due to injury. The squad has five MLS based players in Donovan, Kyle Beckerman, Robbie Rogers, Brek Shea, and Bill Hamid. There is one new call up in Hertha Berlin defender Alfredo Morales. Morales along with goalkeeper Bill Hamid of DC United will be looking for their first caps. Some fans were left perplexed by decisions to leave Omar Gonzalez uncalled as he has been one of the key reasons the LA Galaxy has maintained the league's number one defense. Gonzalez has made comments recently saying that he would consider playing for Mexico, the country of his parents' birth, if he does not hear from the US soon but added his first choice is to play for the stars and stripes. Another player not called into the senior team is Juan Agudelo. The New York Red Bulls forward has 18 caps to his name and is one of the bright goal-scoring hopes for US soccer fans. The 18-year-old was however called into the U-23 camp in Germany by coach Caleb Porter. The camp, from November 7-16, will be used to evaluate players for use in Olympic qualification and eventually the London Olympics in 2012. The US will face France on November 11 in Paris then Slovenia in Ljubljana on November 15.
