Published in Amwal Al Ghad on 17 - 03 - 2024

Egypt's Minister of Supply Ali Moselhy met with Ambassador of France to Egypt, Pascal Fort, and Clemence Vidal, Head of the French Development Agency (AFD), along with other French and Egyptian officials, to discuss ongoing projects, as per a statement by the Cabinet on Sunday.
They reviewed the grant agreement amounting to €56 million ($61 million) for the establishment and development of six silos across Egypt with 420, 000 tons of storage capacity to enhance the nation's grain storage infrastructure, following President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi's approval.
Additionally, they explored new initiatives such as green food centres, representing a leap in modern wholesale markets, integrating diverse agricultural products and utilising renewable energy for sustainability.
This collaboration aims to upgrade wholesale markets across Egypt, aligning with a comprehensive plan for future development and private-sector partnerships under state ownership.
The meeting underscored the robust and enduring Egyptian-French relations, founded on historical, civilisational, and cultural ties.
Minister Moselhy emphasised the importance of these relations, highlighting their pivotal role in fostering cooperation and mutual development between the two nations.
Moreover, the discussions reaffirmed the commitment to further strengthen ties and pursue collaborative ventures for the benefit of both countries.
