Barclays Bank Egypt Denies Impact Due To Downtown Incidents On Monday

Barclays Bank Egypt stated that no reported fire or consequent losses occurred in Barclays Bank-Garden City branch or Headquarters located in Kasr El Eini street due to the incidents that occurred yesterday in Downtown area.
The bank added, in a release, all employees in all Barclays branches including Garden City Branch and Head office are safe and sound and business operations are resumed uninterrupted through business continuity sites (alternative sites) to ensure smooth operations
Barclays also confirms the safety of all its Garden City branch customers, as clashes took place after working hours and that all customers' deposits and savings are safe and secured, thanks to the Group-wide strict safety and security measures that we follow at all times and in every place where we operate
Barclays Bank Egypt reiterates that apart from some minor damages limited to cracks in glass window and its eliminated sign on the facade, no other damages were ever reported.
We would like to finally thank our customers for their trust, and the security forces for their relentless efforts in protecting the lives, public and private properties in the area.
