A source at Coptic Pope Shenouda III's office said that this year's Easter Sunday celebrations would be "different," since they would be attended by Mohamed ElBaradei, former director of the International Atomic Energy Agency and possible candidate in next year's presidential elections. The source went on to say that ElBaradei would first meet with the pope in order to congratulate him personally before assuming his place in the church's "VIP section" to attend Easter mass. The Coptic Church also announced that, in his scheduled sermon, Shenouda planned to pray for President Hosni Mubarak's good health and for God's mercy on recently deceased Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar Mohamed Sayed Tantawi.
