Prosecution Reveals: Al-Boushi Pays Egyptians'' Money to his Victims in Dubai
Published in Almasry Alyoum on 05 - 02 - 2009

The Prosecution of the Financial and Commercial Affairs' investigation in the case of "Nabil al-Boushi revealed new surprises. The investigation proved that the accused had previously been involved in cases of fraud and the seizure of millions of pounds from the Egyptians under the pretext that he would invest them.
The Public Fund Prosecution has dropped another bombshell when it uncovered that al-Boushi transferred $13 million from the funds of depositors in the Egyptian Optima Company to his company in Dubai to pay for his victims there in order not to file lawsuits against him.
Cairo Court of Appeal has upheld the Public Prosecutor's decree on forcing the bodies concerned to disclose the defendant's secret accounts.

For his part, Minister of Agriculture Amin Abaza has denied his relationship with Optima London Dubai Company, adding that he left his post in Optima Egypt since he was appointed as a minister in 2005.
Speaking to Al-Masry Al-Youm, Abaza said it is Optima's managing director who is responsible.
Samir Sabry, the depositors' lawyer, said al-Boushi has committed all crimes of fraud by claiming that he is the Comptroller General of the World Bank for the Middle East.
In addition, he alleged that Al-Ahram al-Iktissadi published that a presidential decree appointed him as an economic advisor to the presidency to establish Egypt's economic and investment policy during the coming 20 years.

On the contrary, Maher Milad Iskandar, al-Boushi's lawyer, said al-Boushi would optionally return to Cairo in the coming days after Dubai Prosecution released him after investigations into receiving money from an Egyptian woman.
The agreement with the investors says that the company is not bound to compensate the investors in case of incurring losses and the whole matter does not concern the Egyptian judiciary, Iskandar added.
Some dealer in the stock exchange have described al-Boushi as genius that is fit to be Egypt's prime minister, as he managed to get money from people and give them a profit of 500%- 1150%.
