Egypt strongly condemned the attack on a Saudi frigate while it was on patrol west of Yemen's Hodeida port, the Egyptian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday. The attack represents a continuation of the destabilization the region, the statement read, adding that Cairo is closely following up with a great concern and interest the repercussions of the attack as it jeopardizes the effort of delivering humanitarian aid to Yemen and threatens navigation in the Red Sea. The statement also offered Egypt's condolences to the families of the victims, Saudi Arabia and its people, and wished speedy recovery to the injured people. A Saudi frigate warship has come under a terrorist attack by three suicide boats belonging to Houthi militias, causing an explosion that killed two crew members and injured three others.
