Egyptian polling stations in 13 governorates closed doors Wednesday 9 pm amid good voter turnout, spokesperson for High Elections Committee (HEC), Omar Marwan said. The governorates where the run-off of the second phase of elections were held include Cairo, Qaliubiya, Dakahlia, Menoufia, Gharbia, Kafr El Sheikh, Al Sharqia, Damietta, Port Said, Ismailia, Suez, North Sinai and South Sinai governorates. Several international delegations from Uruguay, African Union, South Africa, Sierra Leone, Ghana, Zimbabwe and Cameroon and the Arab League have monitored the polling process. Independent reports said the size of electoral propaganda reached EGP20 billion with various violations committed. Mr. Marawan declared that 128 violations were witnessed and referred to General Prosecution. Nearly 17 thousand judges have supervised the electoral process. Egyptian Judges Club's operations room spokesperson, Mohamed Abdou Saleh announced no complaints had been received and polling was "going smoothly". More than 160 thousand conscripts have been deployed all over the 13 governorates to secure poll stations. Electronic gates and explosives detectors have been installed as part of the security measures taken to secure the electoral process. In al-Arish, North Sinai, unidentified gunmen opened fire at a poll station, killing two judges. Police sources said security measures had been tightened to arrest the shooters. In Kafr el-Sheikh, northwestern Cairo, judegs wore black suits and neck ties to mourn their killed colleagues. In Egypt Love electoral list gained 120 seats to lead the majority in the coming parliament. Egypt's Ministry of Health said 23 injuries have been reported over the first day of elections, mostly breathlessness, loss of consciousness, bloody vomiting and high blood pressure.
