Egypt's police have arrested Friday Muslim Brotherhood (MB) spokesperson in the western city of Matrouh over violence-related charges, Al-Bawaba News reported. Raafat A, 45, has been sentenced in absentia to life over charges of storming and sabotaging the Matrouh court building following the dispersal of Rabia and El-Nahda sit-ins Aug. 2013, police said, adding all legal procedures have been taken against the arrestee. A large number of MB affiliates have been convicted in violence and terror-related crimes. On May 17, 123 MB leading figures including the ousted president Mohamed Morsi and supreme guide Mohamed Badie were sentenced to death.
