An Egyptian scores the quickest goal in Switzerland, reports Marwan Zayed Mohamed Salah returned back to scoring ways as he scored the fastest goal in the Swiss league this season. Salah scored after just 83 seconds when he received a long through pass and put it underneath the goalkeeper, scoring his third goal in all competitions since moving to Basel. Salah played an excellent game and could have added to his tally until he was replaced in the 70th minute. The game ended in a 1-1 draw which leaves Basel in fourth place. Moving to England, Ahmed Mohamadi's Hull City endured a disastrous afternoon as they hosted lowly Peterborough which had suffered seven straight defeats and with zero points in the league this season while Hull were looking for their 7th straight home win in the league. Nevertheless and against all the odds Hull played their worst game of the season as they lost 3-1 for the second game in a row with Mohamadi assisted in their only goal of the game. Unlike his team Mohamadi had a very good game as he consistently sent dangerous crosses into the box, one which was converted by Jay Simpson in the 60th minute. After two straight defeats, Hull City drops to 8th in the league. Mido's Barnsley managed to come from behind to a snatch a valuable draw from Ipswich Town. Mido was still absent as he's yet to recover from an injury. The game which ended with one goal each took Barnsley one place up to the 13th place. Still in England, there was another surprising and disappointing result for an Egyptian as Brighton suffered a home loss against Birmingham 1-0. Adam Al-Abd got substituted in the 60th as his team searched for an equaliser that didn't arrive. Once again Al-Abd had a solid game in defence and but couldn't prevent his team from losing at home for the first time this season. Despite the loss, Brighton remains top of the table as other results went their way. Another terrible result for Egyptians this week was the heavy defeat suffered by Lierse at home against Zulte-Waregem 4-1. Okka and Al-Gabbas both started the game with Okka leaving the pitch in the 21st minute after suffering a leg injury while Al-Gabbas played for 75 minutes but didn't really test the keeper. Farag watched from the stands as he faces six months on the sidelines with a knee injury. After three draws and one loss in the last four games Lierse drops to 13th in the league. A below par week for Egyptians in Europe continued as Amr Zaki's poor side Elazigspor endured their fourth loss in the last five games with a 4-1 loss to Antalyaspor away from home. Zaki played for 65 minutes but clearly lacked service from the midfield and fullbacks which meant he could not threaten the goalkeeper during his time on the pitch. Elazigspor remains bottom of the table after the heavy loss. In Italy, Ahmed Hegazi was an unused substitute as his side Fiorentina suffered a 2-1 loss away to Inter Milan which means Fiorentina drops to 8th place. Hegazi is yet to play an official match for his new side but hopefully the coach Montella will soon give him a chance to show his worth on the pitch. Leaving Europe and moving to the UAE where our Egyptian superstar Shikabala continued his unbelievable start to life in the Emirates. The former Zamalek magician had an extraordinary game as he assisted on the second goal for his team El Wasl in a 2-2 draw against El Nasr. Shika was his usual self throughout the 90 minutes as he showed his skills in beating defenders time and time again in addition to testing the keeper on several occasions but unfortunately without finding the net. In the 50th minute Shika managed to beat his marker with an amazing piece of skill to lay it fabulously to Alvaro with an open goal at his mercy to make the score 2-1 for El Nasr at that point. El Wasl remains top of the table on goal difference. Mohamed Zidan's Banni Yas managed to win their first league game of the season at the second time of asking when they defeated Ittihad Kalba 2-0 at home in Zizou's absence. Zizou suffered a hamstring injury last week that will keep him out of action for up to two months. The win takes Banni Yas to 10th place in the league standings. ARAB and AFRICAN: Valencia's Algerian star Sofiane Feghouli had a mixed afternoon for his side as they defeated Real Zaragoza 2-0. Feghouli scored the first goal in the 12th minute but got himself sent off in the 62nd minute. In France, Ajaccio's Algerian star Mehdi Mostefa scored the only goal of the game as his side defeated Brest 1-0 at home. Still in France, Montpellier's Moroccan superstar Younes Belhanda scored his side's first goal as they beat Nancy 2-0 away from home. Evian's Tunisian star Saber Khelifa scored his side's only goal as they drew 1-1 at home against Lorient. In Russia, Samuel Eto'o scored one and assisted another as his side Anzhi beat Volga 2-1 at home. In England, Newcastle's Senegalese striker Demba Ba continued his excellent start to the season when he scored both goals as Newcastle drew 2-2 against Reading away from home. Arsenal's Ivorian Star Gervinho scored his side's only goal of the game as they lost 2-1 at home to Chelsea. Man City's Ivorian superstar Yaya Toure played the full game and was in great shape as his side defeated Fulham 2-1 away from home. Leeds United's Senegalese former African player of the year El Hadji Diouf scored two goals to help his side beat Bristol City 3-2 away from home. And in Belgium, Anderlecht's Congolese striker Mbokani scored two goals to help his side beat Lokeren 3-0.
