President Hosni Mubarak received Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Saud Al-Faisal on Tuesday to discuss recent Middle East developments, especially those related to the Lebanese-Syrian file. Cairo and Riyadh expressed their concern over UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan's latest statements decrying the continued Syrian presence in Lebanon. Egypt and Saudi Arabia have been closely following the Lebanese situation since the issuing of UN Resolution 1559 and the assassination of Prime Minister Rafik Al-Hariri.
