Orlando Pirates coach tips Ahly as Champions League favorites
Orlando Pirates boss believes Ahly are favorites to win the Champions League title at the expense of his team
Published in Ahram Online on 22 - 10 - 2013

Ten days before facing Egypt's Ahly in the Champions League final first-leg, Orlando Pirates manager Roger De Sa refused to consider his side as favourites to win Africa's elite club competition.
The South African outfit will host title holders Ahly on 2 November, with the return leg taking place in Egypt one week later.
Orlando, whose sole Champions League triumph came in 1995, reached the competition's final on the away goal rule following a 1-1 aggregate draw with Esperance de Tunis, runner-up of the previous edition, but De Sa believes it will be difficult for his side to defeat Ahly.
"I still believe they [Ahly] are favourites," De Sa told South African website Super Sport.
"Because of the experience they've got and the pedigree they've got as well, and also playing at home in the second game, I think that probably gives them the edge as well."
The 49-year-old manager also said Orlando should put their previous results against Ahly in the group stage behind them and focus on the final.
They had the upper hand in two Group A meetings with Ahly, thrashing them 3-0 in the Egyptian Red Sea resort of El-Gouna before playing out a goalless draw in Johannesburg.
"One thing we mustn't be is too complacent and think about the two results we had against them," De Sa added.
