Egyptian forward Mohamed Salah scored to help Basel secure a 3-0 victory over Sion in the Swiss league on Sunday. The speedy forward came off the bench in the second half and managed to find the net seven minutes after his introduction. He ran onto a long ball to get ahead of the Sion keeper and slot into an empty net. It was his fourth league goal since his arrival at the Swiss club last summer. Salah's compatriot Mohamed El-Nenny made his maiden appearance for Basel after joining from Arab Contractors, the same team that nurtured Salah. The Egyptian central midfielder, who joined Basel last month, started on the bench before being introduced in the 74th minute, replacing Serey Die. Basel lie second in the Swiss league with 36 points, four behind leaders Grasshopper .
