Zamalek management decided Friday to offload their Benin striker Razak Omotoyossi from the team squad due to his unjustified absence from the team's trainings. "The management agreed to release Omotoyossi from the team's squad due to his absence," Zamalek board member Sabri Serag said. Benin striker Omotoyossi, who took part in both the 2008 and 2010 African Cup of Nations, revealed that he won't return to Egypt if he does not receive outstanding unpaid wages from last season that was canceled after Port Said massacre. Zamalek owe Omotoyossi some $70,000 from the last campaign. "Razak will be a free agent to join any team in case he dispensed his fees with Zamalek," he added. The 26-year-old striker didn't attend the Whites' trainings since the game against Mazembe in the fourth round of the last edition of the CAF Champions League. "We decided this action against the player after failing to reach him as he didn't join the team's trainings for a long time." The Cairo giants Zamalek signed Omotoyossi on a three-year contract coming from Swedish counterpart Syrianska FC. Under the helm of Portuguese manager Jorvan Vieira, Zamalek decided to sideline the Benin forward from 23-man African squad. Zamalek are preparing to face Gazelle of Chad in February in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League.
