Ahly's forward Mohamed Abou-Treika included in the provisional shortlist for Player of the Year 'Based in Africa' award. The winner will be unveiled on20 December in Ghanaian capital Accra Ahly's classy midfielder Mohamed Abou Treika has been included in a five-man shortlist for Player of the Year 'Based in Africa' award, African governing body CAF announced on Sunday. The 34-year-old is Egypt's only representative in the roster after compatriot Essam El-Hadary, who was named in the preliminary list, was dropped. Fellow Egyptian Ahmed Hassan won the award in 2010 following some outstanding displays with Egypt in their triumphant African Nations Cup campaign in Angola. TP Mazembe's Zambian duo Rainford Kalaba and Stoppila Sunzu were also named in the final list, so were Esperance de Tunis' pair Youssef Msakni and Cameroonian striker Yannick N'Djeng. The CAF also revealed a ten-man shortlist for the African Player of the Year award. The list included Alexander Song, Andre Ayew, Christopher Katongo, Demba Ba, Didier Drogba, Gervinho, John Obi Mikel, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Yaya Toure and Younes Belhanda.
