Newcastle manager backs Senegalese striker Demba Ba
Newcastle manager Alan Pardew understands Demba Ba's angry reaction to being substituted in Monday's 2-0 win over Bolton

Newcastle manager Alan Pardew said on Tuesday he would not take action against Senegalese striker Demba Ba after his angry reaction during a Premier League game against Bolton on Monday, adding he is happy with the striker's determination to regain his form.
The international striker, who has failed to score during the last nine games, refused to shake the coach's hand after being substituted in the 63rd minute in Newcastle's 2-0 victory over Bolton on Monday.
"Demba was upset when I brought him off. I was trying to get a reaction from him, if I'm honest. I want him to be angry and fight. He'll come out fighting. I know Demba, and I've got no worries about him," Pardew was quoted as saying by Skysports.
"It wasn't Demba's day, but it might be in two weeks' time," he added.
The 26-year-old striker, who scored 16 goals for Newcastle this season, has failed to score any goals since he played Aston Villa on 5 February.
The Magpies' top scorer was overshadowed by his compatriot Papiss Demba Cisse, a January signing, who scored 10 goals in nine games for Newcastle.
"Ba, Shola[Ameobi], Papiss [Cisse] and Hatem [Ben Arafa] all have massive roles to play for us between now and the end of the season," Newcastle's coach concluded.
