Ivorian midfielder Yaya Toure has been crowned the new king of Africa beating Mali's Seydou Keita and Ghana's Andre Ayew to the CAF African player of the year 2011 during a ceremony held in Accra on Thursday. The 28-year old player has been inspirational for Premier League leaders Manchester City and scored the winner against Stoke City in the FA Cup final to claim their first major title since City's League Cup victory in 1976. Toure is now seen as one of the most valuable midfielders in England and now got credit for it by claiming Africa's most prestigious individual title.
