Egypt's military ruler, Field Marshall Hussein Tantawi, and his Chief of Staff Sami Anan, have been notified by the Cairo Criminal Court that they must give testimony in the trial of Hosni Mubarak on 24 and 25 September. The decision appeared on the official Facebook page of the General Prosecution. Tantawi and Anan were expected to appear today as witnesses in the trial of Mubarak, his two sons, former Minister of Interior Habib El-Adly and others, but their appearance was postponed due to the “fragile security situation,” in the country.
