BERLIN: The Egyptian Embassy in Berlin started counting votes for this week's runoff of the first phase of the Egyptian parliamentary elections on Tuesday. Only 80 voting envelops have been sent to the Embassy. Counting is being conducted under supervision of the Egyptian mission representatives, a monitor from the Muslim Brotherhood-affiliated Freedom and Justice Party, and certain members from the Egyptian community. Egyptian Ambassador to Germany Ramzy Ezz el-Din Ramzy also witnessed the vote counting. Taher Mohammad Ahmed, one of those injured in Egypt's January 25 Revolution, attended the count. He expressed his happiness over his participation in this democratic process. He also hailed the Egyptian Embassy's effort in the vote process.
