ASYUT, Egypt: The electoral process came to a halt at the Manfalout center's second constituency in Aziya village, after two people were injured after an exchange of gunshots between el-Shaqayera and el-Salakheen. There was a dispute between both families that led them to seek revenge from each other through gunfire, which caused the electoral process to stop. This caused voters to fear injuries from gunfire if they had gone to vote. Director of Asyut Security Major General Mohamed Ibrahim was informed by the head of Manfalout police station of 30 year old driver Morad Azouz and 40 year old farmer Fahmy being admitted to Manfalout hospital. Azouz and Fahmy suffered gunshot wounds during the exchange of gunfire and a report was filed about the incident.
