Prominent Egyptian writer Alaa al-Aswany coordinated between revolutionary powers to form a “national salvation government,” rejecting the ruling military's appointment of Kamal el-Ganzouri to the premiership. Revolutionary groups ended a meeting by assigning likely Egyptian presidential candidate Mohamed el-Baradei to the government. Baradei would head the government, while Hossam Eissa and Aboul Ela Mady would be his deputies. The three would act as a presidential council managing the transition.
