CAIRO: The Muslim Brotherhood's Freedom and Justice Party (FJP) criticized the attack on Prophet Muhammad in the French weekly newspaper Charlie Hebdo. The FJP calls for investigations in this incident and to take all required legal measures against the paper, said FJP Secretar, Mohammad Saad el-Katatni. He called for an official apology from the newspaper for insulting the Islamic world; al-Katatni called on Muslims to face this "frivolity" over the blasphemous cartoons. Their action is a crime committed by the irresponsible minority, aiming to provoke Muslims. All Islamic institutions including Al-Azhar and the World Union of Muslim Scholars will respond to these shameful actions. He also called upon the French government to embrace the Muslim community.
