Report of the neutral committee of media experts mentioned there was no incitement by the Egyptian state TV with its coverage of the Maspiro clashes concerning the evaluation of media coverage but there were some mistakes. The report were prepared by professors Hala Abdel Mageed, Mahmoud Alam El-Din, Safwat El-Alem and Yassir Abdel Aziz, who called upon the Egyptian state TV to develop its performance. Egyptian Minister of Information Osama Heikal said he sent the report to the chairman of the Radio and TV Union, Tharwat Mekky, to consider the imported recommendations included in the report and start procedures of reforming performance of Egyptian media. The report stated the coverage was not biased only sometimes and opinions by the reporters and some presenters were limited to telling the story from one side. In the case of the Maspiro clashes, the story was told from Egypt's ruling military forces' side, without any attempt to put light on the protestors' opinions. The report also criticized the performance of broadcaster Rasha Magdi. The report indicated Heikal claims TV coverage was unbalanced and one cannot determine the action and results of the incidents. The report also said there was a difference between what was appearing on the news line and what presenters said. The report stressed on the unorganized choice of sources of information.
