The Egyptian Minister of Education, Ahmed Gamal El-Din Moussa, released a decision defining the student fees to school administrations for the school year of 2011-2012, which will begin on Saturday September 17. This recent decision doesn't include any increase in the fees and doesn't grant the right of the school administration to use its funds without the consent of the Board of Trustees, parents and the school principal without going back to the educational directorate; according to a source in the Ministry of Education. The source added the ministry identified those groups who will not pay the educational fees. Included in the group are the children of the martyrs of the Egyptian January 25 Egyptian Revolution, in addition to those who were identified last year. Educational fees at kindergartens reached 30 EGP (U.S. $5.03), at primary education reached 45 EGP (U.S. $7.55), at preparatory reached 45 EGP (U.S. $7.55), secondary reached 65 EGP (U.S. $10.9), secondary (agricultural, commercial, hotel) reached 55 EGP (U.S. $9.23) and industrial education reached 50 EGP (U.S. $8.39).
