CAIRO: Egypt's Prime Minister, Essam Sharaf, held a conference for the second day to examine the expected candidates for the ministries after their reorganization. The restructuring is scheduled to be finished and declared tomorrow, and will be ratified by the Supreme Council of the Armed Forces (SCAF) on Saturday. Sharaf made this meeting very confidential to prevent any leak that could anticipate the official declaration of the government. Some sources revealed the people who might become ministers after the reorganization. The sources expected George Isaac to become the deputy Prime Minister after his last meeting with the Sharaf, especially that his name was mentioned by the revolutionary delegation that met with Sharaf. The sources also said that Amr Hamzawy was a possible candidate for the Minister of Youth, which will be re-established. The sources also mentioned Ali Faramawy, the chairman of the Slums Development Fund, and Mustafa el-Sayed, the governor of Aswan, for the Ministry of Local Development. The sources said the governor of the Central Bank, Farouk al-Oukda, and Ahmed Sayed al-Nagar are possible candidates for the Ministry of Finance. The sources said the Minister of Interior, Mansour el-Issawi, will remain in his position despite the conflicts that occurred between him and Sharaf.
