The foundation of Misr el Kheir held a charity event in Asyut to distribute 80 cattle and 26 devices to the people of Asyut. This was part of the foundation's policy of helping the poor. The event was held under the auspices of the governor, Ibrahim Hammad, and the director of the humanitarian sector of the foundation, Mamdouh Koutb. The chairman of the foundation, Mohsen Mahgoub, said the distribution of the cattle to the poor is up to scientific and veterinary foundations to guarantee that income returns to the people in need continue. He also said the foundation considers the cattle project one of the most important projects that can provide a constant income for the poor. According to the foundation, it will also provide animals with high specifications to produce dairy and meat, which is what will solve Egypt's dairy and meat crisis. Meanwhile, Koutb said the foundation also gave 26 devices to women who are about to get married or who were recently married. It did so to back them up against the high expenses of marriage especially during these tough economic times. According to Koutb, the devices included washing machines, fridges and stoves. The Secretary General of the governorate, Yacoub Hassan, applauded the foundation's efforts and said it has helped the poor in a civilized way.
