Ahli disappointed by 'unacceptable' ultras protests
Published in FilGoal on 13 - 07 - 2012

Ahli reacted angrily to the protests made by some fans at the team's training ground on Thursday, stressing that the club's board is unwilling to tolerate such a behavior.
Speaking to the Reds' website, Ahli GM Mahmoud Allam reflected the disappointment of the board after more than 50 fans interrupted the team's training to protest against the club's 'negativity toward the Port-Said disaster case'.
“The club's board, members and fans are disappointed by the inexplicable acts made by some of the ultras fans on Thursday," Allam said.
“They have crossed the line by what they've done as such a behavior does not suit Ahli fans and will not be accepted by true Ahli lovers.
“This could not have come from fans who love the club at such in inappropriate timing just before an important match in the Champions League.
“I hope they reconsider what they've done and we reassure everyone that the Ahli board is doing its best to preserve the rights of the families of the Port-Said victims."
Ahli, who lost some 70 supporters in the calamitous Port-Said incident that rocked Egypt last February, prepare to take on arch-rivals Zamalek in the Champions League this month.
