Adli Al-Qaeyi stepped down from his post as Ahli marketing director after nearly 40 years of serving the Cairo giants. Ahli said on their website that Al-Qaeyi, 70, has decided not to sign a new contract with the club for ‘personal reasons'. It has been, however, suggested by media reports that the long-serving employee has reached the retirement age. Al-Qaeyi played a key role in almost every transfer made by Ahli in recent years, which earned him the nickname of the ‘transfer engineer' among Reds fans. He also worked as club GM before being appointed marketing director.
