Ismaili survived an early scare to beat Hilal of Sudan 3-1 and book their place in the CAF Champions League group stage.The Dervishes, who also won in Omdurman, go through on a 4-1 aggregate.
Hilal took an unexpected lead at Ismailia Stadium when Zimbabwean striker Edward Sadomba scored in the 27th minute.
Mohamed Hommos equalized on 65 minutes, heading in Ahmed Samir Farag's cross.
Farag turned from provider to scorer as he gave Ismaili the lead on 76 minutes, before Ahmed Khairi marked his long-awaited comeback with an injury time strike.
