Zamalek board of directors has decided to exclude suspended president Mortada Mansour from the club's membership. The Cairo giants' board took the decision in their secrecy meeting on the 13th of August, Zamalek general director Alaa Mekled told reporters on Wednesday. Mekled revealed that Mansour did not fulfill the membership requirements, noting that Zamalek will not let any person cause uproar within the club. "If any person wants to obtain his right he must go through legal channels," he added. On the other hand, Mansour said dropping his Zamalek club membership is illegal. "Zamalek board said that the suspension was due to the lawsuits which have been set against me, which is totally untrue," Mansour told a press conference. He also launched a scathing attack on the Higher Council of Sport (HCS) president Hassan Saqr after the latter suspended him from Zamalek's presidency. "Saqr breached the rules when he agreed to let me regain Zamalek's presidency on August seventh before ordering the banks not to count on my signature on Zamalek's checks." Mansour demanded the government to interfere and to make a special committee to investigate Saqr's actions. The HCS suspended former chairman Mansour after the tribunal saga that paralleled last season's Egyptian Cup final between Ahli and Zamalek. But Mansour was expected to restore office due to a ruling by an Egyptian court. However, the HCS decided to appoint a new board for the Cairo powerhouse, headed by the club's former treasurer Mamdouh Abbas.
