Youth Minister Mamdouh El-Beltagi disbanded Zamalek board of directors and appointed Morsi Attalla as an interim club president. The new board that will be headed by Attalla will take charge of the club for a one-year period after which a general election will take place. The assigned board included Hamada Emam as vice-president, and Mamdouh Abbas as treasurer. Essam Bahig, Tarek Ghonaim, Abdullah George Saad, Yousri El-Sheikh, Ahmed Darwish and Trixam Hassan Helmi were named as board members. The dissolved board of directors, headed by Mortada Mansour, was involved in a number of feuds that caused instability within the club and affected the performance of the football team. The string of problems surrounding Zamalek had caused six board members to resign before El-Beltagi made his decision.
