Ahli have requested playing a friendly match against Hull City next month, the African champions said on their website. Hull, owned by Egyptian businessman Assem Allam, have just been promoted to the English Premier League with the help of three Pharaohs internationals including Ahli duo Geddo and Ahmed Fathi. Both clubs have usually been regularly in contact over the last year, since signing a partnership agreement during Allam's visit to Cairo back in September. While the Tigers are expected to begin pre-season in June, Ahli look to prepare for the CAF Champions League during the same period of the month. The Reds are braced for an important phase as they prepare for the closing stages of the Egyptian Premier League as well as the Champions League group phase opening.
