CAIRO – Egypt's international political status could grow in the wake of the referendum on constitutional amendments, held on March 19, according to a governmental report, issued by the Cabinet Information and Decision-making Support Centre on Sunday. The report praised the role of NGOs and world observers in the referendum, in which Cairo Governorate witnessed the biggest turnout of voters, 2.2 million, while Alexandria came second with 1.2 million. The report deals with modern democracy since the January 25 revolution.
