CAIRO -- The head of Egypt's Illicit Gains Authority, Assem el-Gohari, met on Tuesday with the Swiss committee responsible for retrieving the money stolen by Mubarak and 15 of his officials. El-Gohari told Al-Youm Al-Sabie that el-Gohari and the committee will hold another closed meeting later to discuss how Egypt can retrieve the stolen cash. The Egyptian committee affiliated to the Illicit Gains Authority and responsible for retrieving the stolen money has prepared documents giving Egypt the right to do so. The ousted Hosni Mubarak and his aides abused their power to accumulate assets and engage in profiteering for 30 years. Swiss Ambassador in Cairo Dominik Furgler has said that his country will not condone the use of illegal methods to retrieve the stolen tens of billions.
