CRETE, Greece, Oct 10, 2018 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi had talks in Crete on Wednesday with Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras ahead of an Egyptian-Greek-Cypriot summit due to be held in Crete later in the day. At a meeting with Alexis Tsipras, the president said that relations between both countries are progressing in various domains, said Egyptian Presidential Spokesman Bassam Radi. Sisi also expressed appreciation for Greek stances towards Egypt, added the spokesman. The talks took up bilateral relations at all levels, he said, pointing out that the two sides voiced keenness on enhancing joint cooperation. Also, the two leaders discussed regional and international issues of common concern atop of which comes fighting terrorism and illegal migration along with reviving the Middle East peace process between the Palestinian and Israeli sides, said the spokesman. Sisi, meanwhile, held talks with Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades on bilateral relations which have been significantly growing over the past few years. They discussed means of pushing up joint economic and commercial cooperation along with regional files of common concern.
