CAIRO, September 23, 2018 (MENA) - Japan's Ambassador to Egypt Masaki Noke has hailed as unique the project of Japanese schools in boosting understanding and co-operation between the two countries. Tokyo, represented by the Japan International Co-operation Agency (JICA), co-operates with the Egyptian Ministry of Education to sign teachers and experts to train Egyptian staffers on the Japanese educational system, the diplomat told MENA. The system focuses on teaching pupils basics of discipline, commitment and respect for time, he noted. It develops their abilities for thinking, deduction and finding solutions, not just memorisation, he said, adding that Japan considers schools a place not only for learning, but to raise students morally, intellectually and physically. He hailed, in return, "Egyptian human capital" saying that the development of this element is pivotal. The Japanese diplomat lauded Egypt's role in the Middle East, and said that his country wishes to foster its strategic dialogue with Cairo especially as regards Middle East issues.
