CAIRO, Sept 10, 2018 (MENA) - The Arab League Council will hold its 150th session at the ministerial level on Tuesday. Arab foreign ministers and Arab League Secretary General Ahmed Abul Gheit are taking part in the session to be held under Sudan's chairmanship. Upon the request of Jordan, the Arab foreign ministers will hold a special session on UNRWA status after the US decision to cut all funds channeled to the UN agency. UNRWA commissioner-general Pierre Krahenbuhl will speak at the session. The Arab ministers will also hold a closed meeting on issues tabled on the agenda of the 150th session of the Arab League council. The ministerial meeting will be preceded by a meeting by the board tasked with following up the implementation of resolutions issued by the recent Arab summit. The board includes Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Jordan, Djibouti, Sudan in addition to the Arab League chief. The Arab quartet committee will also meet over the Iranian crisis and Tehran's continued interference in the internal affairs of Arab countries. The Arab quartet groups Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Egypt in addition to the Arab League chief.
