Egypt's Al-Sisi, Bahrain's Hamad discuss bilateral relations, economic cooperation
The two-day visit comes directly after a similar visit to Oman.

Egypt's President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi met with Bahraini King Hamad bin Isa Al-Khalifa on Wednesday at Sakhir Palace in Manama.
The two-day visit comes directly after a similar visit to Oman.
During the meeting, King Al-Khalifa expressed the pride of the Bahraini government and people for the strong historical ties and close relations they have with Egypt and its people in various fields, stressing his deep appreciation for the strategic and pivotal role Egypt plays in protecting Arab national security and defending the issues of the Arab Nation.
For his part, President Al-Sisi stressed the strength of Egyptian-Bahraini relations, as well as Egypt's keenness to develop close bilateral cooperation and coordination for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples and the Arab Nation.
Developing relations include intensifying the pace of bilateral meetings between senior officials from the two countries periodically, the latest of which was the king's recent visit to Sharm El-Sheikh to participate in a tripartite summit that brought the two leaders together with the Jordanian King.
Furthermore, Presidential Spokesperson Bassam Rady said that the two leaders also discussed the latest developments concerning a number of international files.
Additionally, Hamad affirmed that his country agrees with the current Egyptian efforts to settle various disputes in the region, stressing the coherence of the common national security of both countries and that Egypt will always remain Bahrain's pivotal partner in the region.
Both leaders also witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the two countries in the fields of economic, scientific, and technological cooperation.
Finally, the two leaders exchanged views on the upcoming Gulf Cooperation Council Summit that will include the participation of Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, and the US and will be held in Saudi Arabia's Jeddah.
